Hip Hop Expression (ages 8 - 11) 8 - 11

Hip Hop is a constantly developing genre that encompasses the blending of music styles and dance moves influenced by many factors which are then personalized by a choreographer. The term Hip Hop also refers to the speech, fashions and personal style adopted by many youths. Come learn choreography that will not only improve your flexibility and movement, but focuses on pushing you outside of your comfort level. By learning a series of quick/sharp movements that also incorporate different levels, you will begin to identify what hip-hop means to you and how to best express it. Hip hop is much more than a way of moving to hip hop music...it is a way of life. Hip Hop is a lifestyle that includes its own language, music, wardrobe style and style of dance. So no matter if you're a beginner or advanced dancer, all are welcome to come dance, have fun and be inspired! So, come exist on the dance floor with me!  Clothing: sweat pants, leggings, or shorts - no dresses or skirts or jeans please. Footwear: any pair of clean, dry sneakers that can be used specifically for dancing or bring a pair of socks to dance in.

Fall Theatre Classes

Let’s Make A Theatre-Mystery Event! 11-16

For middle and high school students because all ages can come together when misadventure, mystery and mayhem are involved! In two class sessions, we will design an interactive mystery meal for participants, family and friends! What is the crime, why did they do it, and who are the suspects? We make plans together, design a food related presentational mystery that has three parts, and on day two, bring costumes and props, and rehearse... And then at 5 pm, family and friends arrive with snacks, salads, or desserts for a tasty treat and the crime of the century. Whodunnit? YOUdunnit!
